Earlier this week, Randy Newman, the leading political satirist of his generation, was a guest of Stephen Colbert, part of the fertile satirical crop of the 2000s. Quoting from It's Money that I Love, the song with which Newman opened his set in Toronto on Saturday night, Colbert jibed, "Who wants to hear a guy pretending to be a rich celebrity?"
